Meet Kim!
Hi there! Thank you for visiting my life in a blog here! I am a Catholic wife and mother and enjoy a life serving God, my family and friends. But I am also an oncology nurse practitioner and love serving others in this career both as a clinician and as a colleague. I became an RN in 2007 and an NP in 2013. I have held several roles in my nursing career: inpatient bedside nurse, outpatient clinic nurse, nurse manager and lastly my role as a surgical oncology nurse practitioner. I also have prior work experience in laboratory research, cardiovascular heart pump care and business consulting.
I called my blog “NP for Life” because when I finally became a nurse practitioner it felt like my life started again. I left a business consulting career to go back to nursing school surprising a lot of folks in my life. It was a big change but it felt right. My goal is to offer a place for my fellow colleagues to learn something new, benefit from my experiences and gain some insight into the different aspects of life as an NP. A separate goal is for my affiliate marketing business. There are links to real products I have tried or researched and of course you have no obligation to use my links but it does help me maintain my business and offer additional services.
My hope that with this blog I can impart some wisdom, advice, life hacks, time saving and money saving opportunities, lessons learned (there area many) and overall be a supportive mentor to you! Drop me a line so we can chat!
